Lisa Russ Spaar is the author of Blue Venus (Persea, 2004) and Glass Town (Red Hen, 1999). Her newest collection, Satin Cash, is forthcoming from Persea in June. She is also the editor of the anthology Acquainted with the Night: Insomnia Poems (Columbia, 1999). She is an associate professor in the Creative Writing department at the University of Virginia.
