Robert Cohen is the author of three novels, including, most recently, Inspired Sleep (Scribner, 2001), and a collection of stories, The Varieties of Romantic Experience (Scribner, 2002). He has been awarded a Whiting Writers’ Award, a Lila Wallace-Reader’s Digest Writers Award, the Ribalow Prize, and a Pushcart Prize. His stories have been published widely in Harper’s, GQ, Paris Review, and Ploughshares. He teaches at Middlebury College in Vermont.
