Michael Collier

Michael Collier is professor of English at the University of Maryland and director of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Middlebury College. He is author of five books of poems, including The Ledge (Houghton Mifflin, 2000), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and Dark Wild Realm (Houghton Mifflin, 2006). His new book Make Us Wave Back: Essays on Poetry and Influence is forthcoming in fall 2007 from Michigan.
