Debra Nystrom
Debra Nystrom is the author of two collections of poetry, Torn Sky (Sarabande Books, 2003), and A Quarter Turn (Sheep Meadow, 1991). Her poetry has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals, including The American Poetry Review, The Yale Review, Ploughshares, Slate, and The Threepenny Review. Her honors include a Hoyns Postgraduate Fellowship, a Yaddo Fellowship, two individual artist’s grants from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and VQR’s Emily Clark Balch Prize. She is a professor in the Creative Writing Department at the University of Virginia.
