Mary Lee Settle



Mary Lee Settle (1918–2005) is best remembered for “Beulah Quintet,” a series of novels that explored the history of her native West Virginia, and Blood Tie, which won the National Book Award for fiction. She was also one of the founders of the annual PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction.
