MADISON SMARTT BELL

Madison Smartt Bell is the author of ten novels and two collections of stories, including All Souls’ Rising (Penguin, 1995), a finalist for the National Book Award and the PEN/Faulkner. The third and final volume of his Haitian Revolutionary trilogy, The Stone That the Builder Refused, is forthcoming from Pantheon in November.
