J. Malcolm Garcia

J. Malcolm Garcia is a regular contributor to VQR. His essays have been anthologized in Best American Non-Required Reading and Best American Travel Writing. His essay “A Product of This Town” (VQR, Summer 2008) on Jena, Louisiana, will appear in Best American Non-Required Reading 2009. His memoir about his work in Afghanistan, The Kharagee: A Chronicle of Friendship and War in Kabul, will be released this fall.
