Dean Bakopoulos

Dean Bakopoulos is the author of a novel, Please Don’t Come Back from the Moon, (Harcourt, 2005). His fiction and nonfiction have appeared recently in The Believer, The Progressive, and Zoetrope: All-Story. His short story “Happy,” published in the Summer 2004 issue of VQR, was a finalist for a National Magazine Award for Fiction. He lives in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, where he is executive director of the Wisconsin Humanities Council.
