Alice Munro
Alice Munro is the three-time winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award, Canada’s highest literary honor. She has also received the Rea Award for the Short Story, the Lannan Literary Award, a National Book Critics Circle Award, the National Arts Club Medal of Honor for Literature, and Great Britain’s W. H. Smith Award. Her new book, The View from Castle Rock, will be published by Knopf in November. Two films, based on her stories “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage” and “The Bear Came Over the Mountain,” are scheduled for release in the near future.
