David J. Morris

David J. Morris is a former Marine and author of Storm on the Horizon (Free Press, 2004), an account of the Battle of Khafji in the Gulf War. His essay, “The Big Suck: Notes from the Jarhead Underground,” in the Winter 2007 issue was chosen for The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2007. He teaches at University of California, Irvine.
