Holy cow, Susanna—you just made us blush! Thanks so much for the kind words. Everybody at VQR works very hard, and it's often a sprint just to get through the day. It's nice, once a year, to reflect on what we've done and get the recognition of our fellow editors and readers like you. And I'm especially pleased that you liked the South America issue. We're extraordinarily proud of it and grateful for the efforts of Daniel Alarcón, Honor Jones, and everyone at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in Washington, DC—which underwrote several of the stories and accompanying videos. It was a real collective effort, and everyone did astonishing work. Thanks again for the praise, Susanna. It means a lot.

The VQR is an excellent magazine and the nod for the South American issue is esp. deserved. It was a great issue that really highlighted important issues, great writers, and great artists. The VQR is everything a literary magazine aspires to be and inspires young authors, artists, and editors to live up to its standards!
