William Baer, a recent Guggenheim fellow, is the author of sixteen books, including five poetry collections. His most recent collection, “Bocage” and Other Sonnets (Texas Review Press, 2008), won the X. J. Kennedy Poetry Prize. His other books include Classic American Films: Conversations with the Screenwriters (Praeger, 2007) and Writing Metrical Poetry (Writer’s Digest, 2006). A former Fulbright in Portugal, he’s also a past recipient of a creative writing fellowship from the NEA.
