| Since 1925 the Virginia Quarterly Review has received its operating budget from the University of Virginia—along with staff salaries and some of the best offices in the literary world. However, many of our new initiatives (including this website) are supported by gifts from loyal readers like you. With these generous donations we hope to:
• digitize the entire run of VQR
• offer more manuscripts from the VQR archives
• develop course curricula for University students
• sponsor scholarships for the UVA Young Writers' Conference
• offer awards for authors
