Danny Lorberbaum

Danny Lorberbaum is a graduate of the MFA program at Hunter College. His work has appeared in or is forthcoming from One Story, Guernica, and Southwest Review, where it received the McGinnis-Ritchie Award. He has been a resident at the MacDowell Colony and is currently an Emerging Writers Fellow at the Center for Fiction.

Doc Aberdeen looks more like a bricklayer than a doctor. In the front hall he hangs his hat on a spoke. His hair is center-parted so exactly that his white scalp shows through.
