J T Thomas’s work has appeared in the New York Times, Wired, Smithsonian, Discover Magazine, and High Country News and has been shown at the International Center of Photography and the United Nations. He has been the recipient of a New York Times merit scholarship and in 2012 served as a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow at Columbia University Journalism School.
