Jessica Francis Kane

Jessica Francis Kane’s debut collection of stories, Bending Heaven, was published in the US and the UK. Her stories have been broadcast on BBC radio and have appeared in a number of publications, including The Missouri Review, McSweeney’s, and Michigan Quarterly Review. She is a contributing writer for TheMorningNews.org and has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the VCCA. She lives in New York with her husband and their two children. “The Inquiry” is an excerpt from her first novel, The Report, forthcoming from Graywolf in 2010.
