Joanna Hershon

Joanna Hershon received an MFA in fiction in 1999 from Columbia University, where she currently teaches undergraduate fiction. She is the author of two novels, Swimming (Ballantine, 2001) and The Outside of August (Ballantine, 2003). She’s currently working on her third novel, which is set during the 1800s in both Germany and the American Southwest.
