Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Lawrence Ferlinghetti is a painter and poet whose A Coney Island of the Mind (New Directions, 1958) has more than a million copies in print. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His latest book, Writing Across the Landscape: Travel Journals (1960-2010), from which “Travel Journals” is taken, will be published by Liveright in September 2015.
