Maxine Scates

Maxine Scates is the author of three books of poetry: Toluca Street (University of Pittsburgh, 1989), Black Loam (Cherry Grove, 2005), and Undone (forthcoming from New Issues in 2011). Her poems have been awarded the Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize, the Oregon Book Award for Poetry, and a 2010 Pushcart Prize. She lives in Eugene, Oregon.
