Sara Majka

Sara Majka is the author of the story collection Cities I’ve Never Lived In (Graywolf/A Public Space, 2016). Her stories have been published in Guernica, Massachusetts Review, PEN America, and A Public Space. She is a former fiction fellow at the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center.

I had driven to Nashua to look for farmhouses. I was researching abandoned farmhouses and wanted to find a part of New Hampshire with both rural and urban poverty.
