Stephen Goodwin is the author of several novels, including Breaking Her Fall (Harcourt, 2003), and two nonfiction books. He is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Ingram Merrill Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). He is one of the founding members of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, a former director of the Literature Program at the NEA, and a professor of creative writing at George Mason University.
