John Egerton

John Egerton (1935-2013) was the author and editor of several books, including The Americanization of Dixie: The Southernization of America (1974) and Speak Now Against the Day: The Generation Before the Civil Rights Movement in the South, which won the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award in 1995.
