Kate Lacour

Kate Lacour is an illustrator and clinical art therapist living in New Orleans. She is the creator of the graphic novel Vivisectionary (Fantagraphics, 2019), the reference book Do No Harm (Press Street, 2018), and the webcomic The Disciple. Lacour was a 2016 winner of the MoCCA Award of Excellence from the Society of Illustrators.

Who looks in your mouth? Nobody. That cozy little cavern is designed for darkness and privacy. When the mouth is open, we glimpse occasional bits of action in what is technically called the vestibule, and are struck by the intimacy of what we have seen.
