Fabrizio Mejía Madrid

Fabrizio Mejía Madrid is the author of three books of nonfiction and two novels, most recently El rencor (2006) from which the excerpt in this issue is taken. At the 2007 Hay Festival of Literature and Arts in Bogota, he was named one of thirty-nine writers under forty who will define Latin American literature in the twenty-first century. He lives in Mexico City, where he writes for the magazine Proceso and the newspaper La Jornada.
