Jerome Loving

Jerome Loving is the author of several books on Walt Whitman, most recently the critical biography Walt Whitman: The Song of Himself (California, 1999), a finalist for the 2000 Los Angeles Times Book Prize in Biography. His awards include a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship. He is a Distinguished Professor of English at Texas A&M University.
