Laurel Reuter is founding director of the North Dakota Museum of Art. Her books include The Disappeared / Los Desaparecidos (North Dakota Museum of Art, 2006) and the edited volume Mouths of Ash / Bocas de Ceniza (North Dakota Museum of Art, 2005), about the work of Juan Manuel Echavarr?a. Reuter’s honors include the Award of Distinction from the National Council of Art Administrators.
