Beth Henley

Beth Henley is a playwright and screenwriter whose play Crimes of the Heart won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. She was nominated for a Tony Award for the play, and her adaptation for film was nominated for an Oscar as Best Adapted Screenplay. Her other plays include The Miss Firecracker Contest (1979), The Debutante Ball (1985), and Ridiculous Fraud (2007), and her screenplays include Nobody’s Fool (1986) and True Stories (1986).
