Danielle Evans is the author of Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self (Riverhead, 2011), the winner of the 2011 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize, and a National Book Foundation “5 Under 35” honoree. She is a graduate of Columbia University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and her stories have appeared in the Paris Review, A Public Space, The Best American Short Stories 2008, and The Best American Short Stories 2010.
