Danzy Senna

Danzy Senna is the author of two novels, including Caucasia (Riverhead, 1998), winner of the Book of the Month Award for First Fiction and the American Library Association’s Alex Award, as well as a finalist for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. She is a recipient of the Whiting Writers’ Award and a fellowship from the New York Public Library’s Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers, where she wrote the memoir, Where Did You Sleep Last Night? A Personal History (FSG, 2009). Her most recent work is a collection of short stories, You Are Free (Riverhead, 2011).
