JoAnna Novak’s short-story collection Meaningful Work (FC2, 2021) won the 2020 Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Contest. She is the author of three poetry collections, most recently New Life (Black Lawrence, 2021), and her debut memoir, Contradiction Days (Catapult, 2023) is forthcoming. She is a cofounder of the literary journal and chapbook publisher Tammy.
