Luigi Pirandello

Luigi Pirandello (1867–1936), born in Girgenti, Sicily, was a prolific dramatist, novelist, and short story writer. In 1934 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for his “bold and brilliant renovation of the drama and the stage.”
