Tristan McConnell

Tristan McConnell has lived and worked as a journalist in Africa since 2004, reporting for international publications including the Economist, the [UK] Times, and the Christian Science Monitor. McConnell has reported from over a dozen African countries, covering conflicts in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and elections in Burundi, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. In 2008 he was named “Journalist of the Year” in the Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards and in 2007 was a finalist in the Kurt Schork Awards in international journalism.
