Annie Proulx

Biography

Annie Proulx’s many awards include the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the PEN/Faulkner. Her story “The Half-Skinned Steer” was chosen by John Updike for inclusion in Best American Short Stories of the Century. Her new collection of stories, Bad Dirt, is forthcoming in 2005.
