Frank E. Grizzard, Jr. is Senior Associate Editor at the Papers of George Washington, a modern scholarly documentary editing project publishing all of Washington’s papers. He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where he wrote the first online Ph.D. dissertation in the humanities,Documentary History of the Construction of the Buildings at the University of Virginia, 1817–1828 (1996). Mr. Grizzard, a native of Emporia, VA lives with his family in Waynesboro.
