Lisa M. Hamilton is the author of Deeply Rooted: Unconventional Farmers in the Age of Agribusiness (Counterpoint, 2009), and her work has also been published in Harper’s, the Atlantic, McSweeney’s, Orion, and Gastronomica. She was a 2010 fellow at the Alicia Patterson Foundation.
