MariNaomi is the author and illustrator of Turning Japanese (2D Cloud, 2016); Dragon’s Breath and Other True Stories (2D Cloud/Uncivilized, 2014), an Eisner Award nominee; and the graphic memoir Kiss & Tell: A Romantic Resume, Ages 0 to 22 (HarperCollins, 2011), winner of the 2012 SPACE Prize. Her artwork has been featured in the De Young Museum, Cartoon Art Museum, and Asian American Museum. She is the creator and curator of the Cartoonists of Color Database and the LGBTQ Cartoonists Database.
