Jim Coan is an American affective neuroscientist, clinical psychologist, writer, podcast host, human-rights activist, and psychology professor at the University of Virginia, where he serves as director of the Virginia Affective Neuroscience Laboratory, codirector of the University of Virginia College Fellows Program, and principal of Brown College at Monroe Hill.

Miranda Featherstone is a social worker and a writer. Her essays have appeared in the New York Times and the Yale Review. She lives in Rhode Island.

Gothataone Moeng is a former fiction fellow in the Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University. Her writing has also received fellowships and support from Tin House, where she was a 2019 Summer Workshop scholar, and from A Public Space, where she was a 2016 Emerging Writer Fellow. Her writing has appeared in American Short Fiction, One Story, A Public Space, and the Oxford American. She holds an MFA in creative writing (fiction) from the University of Mississippi. She currently lives in Serowe, Botswana.

Ara Oshagan is a diasporic multidisciplinary artist, curator, and cultural worker whose practice explores collective and personal histories of dispossession, legacies of violence, identity, and (un)imagined futures. Oshagan has published three books of photography and his work has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, in the Los Angeles Times, Art Papers, and elsewhere. He is based in Los Angeles and is a curator at ReflectSpace Gallery.

Anuj Shrestha is a cartoonist and illustrator who resides in Philadelphia. His comics have been anthologized in several editions of The Best American Comics. His illustration work has appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times, the New Yorker, McSweeney’s, WIRED, and Playboy.
